The UML Profile for Component Collaboration Architecture (CCA), submitted as part of the Enterprise Distributed Object Computing (EDOC), had been under review by industry and academy specialists, since its final submission at the Object Management Group (www.omg.org) meeting in Danvers, MA. on the second week of July'2001.

On the second week of September'2001, at the OMG meeting in Toronto, Canada, the Analysis & Design Task Force and the Architecture Board of the OMG, emitted favorable votes for EDOC, including CCA, the standard alignment of Component-X.

The multi-vote adoption process of the OMG, proceeds very positively for EDOC, with the vote of  102 organizations in the Technology Committee.
