Data Access Technologies Announces Component-X 1.0 �The open and standards-based Java-XML solution for worldwide computing�

JavaOne June 4th, 2001 � Data Access Technologies (DAT) today announced the release of Component-X 1.0 for visual and intuitive �drag and drop� assembly and configuration of Enterprise Business Components and Web Services. Component-X works equally well for legacy systems, new applications and services that integrate new and legacy capabilities.

Thanks to its open and standards based architecture, Component-X can support ebXML�, HTTP, SOAP, .NET, Corba�, J2EE�, MQ-Series, SQL, XSL, Java Messaging and other technologies - simply by adding components.

Component-X provides a simple and visual approach to designing, building & assembling Java-XML components for Web-services, B2B, Enterprise Integration and Supply Chain Automation. The open, standards-based architecture of Component-X eliminates the problems of technology lock-in while promoting an open marketplace in XML Enterprise Business Components supporting Web-services. Component-X is based on current and emerging standards from ebXML, the OMG and W3C.

The Component-X Platform - Standard Edition is available for free download on: www.enterprise-component.com. The standard edition provides for creating and testing components, but not deploying them. The release of compatible application server deployment packages is scheduled for next quarter.
